Hi, I'm Vanessa — I make sure your numbers actually add up.
I've spent more than 25 years working in finance and business operations — starting out managing the accounts as an office manager, through Accounts Manager roles handling AP/AR, payroll and cashflow forecasting, to running full finance functions as a Finance Manager and company director for growing businesses. Most recently that included a fast-scaling Sydney fintech startup, where I integrated Stripe and GoCardless with Xero to automate payments and reconciliation.

Bookkeeping isn't new to me, either — years ago I ran my own contract bookkeeping business supporting small businesses with their books and admin, fittingly also called The Numbers Game. I also ran my own trade business and an interior design and home-staging business, so I understand first-hand the pressure small business owners are under — the books are rarely the part anyone got into business for.
These days I bring all of that experience to Sydney small businesses, done properly in Xero. I'm a Xero Certified Associate (Level 1) and Xero Certified Professional (Level 2), systems-minded and detail-oriented, so you can get on with running your business.
